PowerEdge 38PE 12V Medium-Duty Starter Now Available

LONG BEACH, Calif. – DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., an affiliate of leading global mobility supplier DENSO Corp., has introduced a new line of medium-duty starters to its PowerEdge brand of aftermarket rotating electrical components. The competitively priced 38PE starter expands the PowerEdge line of premium starters for commercial vehicles and service fleets.

“We’re excited to launch the PowerEdge 38PE starter for the medium-duty segment of the market,” said Andrew Shlatz, manager of DENSO’s Heavy Duty Aftermarket Sales. “The 38PE offers utility vans, midsize trucks, school buses and other lightweight work vehicles the same high-performance benefits of PowerEdge starters keeping today’s largest heavy-duty vehicles on the move.”

More durable than the competition, the 38PE starter is available in six part numbers and covers small and midsize fleets. The 38PE starter series expands the existing line of PowerEdge starters that covers more than 90% of all Class 8 trucks in operation.

Like all PowerEdge products, the 38PE starter is built with the latest technology and superior materials for a top-quality component that meets and exceeds the power demands and cranking cycles of today’s commercial vehicles and fleets. PowerEdge advantages include:

  • Rugged design, powerful performance and unmatched durability.
  • Over Crank Protection (OCP) that continuously monitors the internal temperature to prevent thermal damage to the starter.
  • Integral Magnetic Switch (IMS) that reduces voltage drop and ensures the solenoid receives maximum voltage under all starting conditions.
  • Electrical Soft Start that consistently engages the pinion with the ring gear for increased reliability.
  • All units are 100% new with no core charge.
  • One-year/unlimited miles warranty.
  • Exceeds customer’s normal cranking cycle expectation.

DENSO’s PowerEdge program offers aftermarket starters, alternators and diesel aftertreatment products. Built to meet and exceed the increased electrical demands and emissions control requirements of today’s trucks, PowerEdge has established itself as the go-to program for fleets of all sizes.
