1. What is the GND TerminatorTM used for?
The GND TerminatorTM is used for the termination of Copper or Aluminum grounding conductors from #6 AWG through 350 kcmil.

2. What types of devices can be grounded with the GND TerminatorTM?
The GND TerminatorTM is suitable for all electrical devices requiring proper termination of grounding conductors. Some examples would be switchboards, panelboards, disconnect switches, transformers, ATS’s, electrical enclosures, electrical equipment, electronic equipment, and power products.

3. What is the GND TerminatorTM made of?
The Ground Bar itself is made of solid, electrical grade copper with set screws and mounting screws made of silicon bronze. It has the tightest thread specification available so the connection stays tight.

4. Does the GND TerminatorTM comply with the NEC Code?
Yes, the GND TerminatorTM complies with the 2005 NEC Code 250.8 (specifies the allowable methods of connecting grounding conductors and bonding jumpers), 110.3B (how product is installed and used), and complies with UL 467 ( requirements for grounding and bonding equipment), and UL 486A (standard for connectors used with all alloys of copper and aluminum conductors).

5. How was the GND TerminatorTM tested?
The GND TerminatorTM has undergone testing at Underwriters Laboratories Inc. and is UL recognized in the USA and CANADA for grounding and bonding purposes. A 100 lb. weight was attached to each sized conductor and allowed to hang for 1 minute to demonstrate the ability of the GND TerminatorTM to hold each size conductor from #6 AWG thru 350 kcmil. Fault current tests were also performed by UL.

6. What does the term “recognized” mean?
The GND TerminatorTM is a component, not a product under UL’s definition. This component is “recognized” not “listed”. Only products can be “listed”.

7. Does the mounting hardware come with the GND TerminatorTM?
Mounting screws are included with the GND TerminatorTM. Stainless steel mounting brackets are an optional item.

8. What is the price of the GND TerminatorTM?
The current retail price for a GND TerminatorTM is $189 plus shipping and handling. The cost for a pair of stainless steel mounting brackets is $8.95. *All pricing subject to change without notice. This price compares favorably with current grounding methods which require special tools, more individual parts, and more labor.

-GND TerminatorTM $189.00 to $197.95

-Current Method $520.00 to $3,620.00
  • Copper plate = $100
  • Compression fittings = $180 ($30.00 ea. x 6)
  • Bolt Set = $210 (6 sets of 2 bolts)
  • Stainless Steel mounting brackets = $30 a pair
  • Total = $520.00
  • If compression tool and dies needed:
  • Compression tool = $2000
  • Dies = $1100 (11 sets of dies @ $100 ea.)
  • Total = $3620.00
  • PLUS MORE LABOR TIME NEEDED VS. THE GND TERMINATORTM!

9. Does the GND TerminatorTM come in different sizes?
The GND Terminator JrTM is available. It is made of electrical grade Copper with silicon bronze hardware and used for the termination of copper grounding conductors from #12 through 2/0. The GND Terminator JrTM meets NEC 250.94 and NEC 250.8 Intersystem Bonding.

10. Can I order online?
